Montana HB 271 is out of committee and coming for a vote soon in the Montana Senate. The bill will allow any person who may legally own a firearm to carry it without a concealed carry permit, as long as you are outside of city limits. You can be exempted from this restriction if you have proof of completion of a firearm safety course in your possession at that moment. The NRA is recommending Montana residents contact their state senators to have them support this bill. You can go to NRA-ILA’s Montana Legislative Action Center to find your senator.
