The NRA Annual event is a chance to get involved in politics, but it’s also an opportunity to learn and support outdoor sports companies.
I don’t know about you, but frankly, I have heard enough about politics. The NRA Annual Meeting will be here in just a few days, and an “annual meeting” probably is not the best way to describe it. The first thing that comes to mind for most people when they hear NRA is politics. For example, did you know there is an entirely separate entity called the NRA Foundation, whose goal is education, promoting safety, and funding shooting activities? The NRA Foundation offers grants to help fund shooting sports.
Although there will be plenty of talk about politics, there are also over 600 exhibitors that the average person can see. Most people who support the 2A don’t have many chances to see the latest available gear in one place. It lasts three days, covers 650,000 square feet, and starts this Friday in Indianapolis. You can go hands-on with products and even book your next outdoor vacation.
Some exhibitors are hosting influential people from the industry, such as Colion Noir.
Manufacturers, retailers, and outfitters are all represented among the exhibitors. The list of participants ranges from some of the big boys like Glock down to smaller manufacturers you have probably never heard of, like Stealth Arms, who make a cool custom 1911 that uses a Glock magazine.
NRA Annual Meeting Events
I still have not gotten the full schedule of the NRA events to come up correctly on the main website, so here is a link to an interactive page with events, speakers, and celebrity appearances. If you want a list that you can print and bring along, here are the “NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits” in a pdf.
There will be some excellent opportunities to hear from some industry experts about topics like “MICRO COMPACT PISTOLS FOR CONCEALED CARRY” and “NEW TO CONCEALED CARRY? A REAL LIFE LOOK AT WHAT LIFE IS LIKE WHEN CARRYING.”
