On November 26, 2022, Midland, TX Police responded to a “shots-fired” call at a convenience store. On arrival, they learned of a victim already at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
On further investigation, it was determined that the injured man had fired on two men and that one of those men returned fire in self-defense.
The injured man was released from the hospital and then arrested. He was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
This case is still under investigation.
