A tragic shooting took place at a Nashville school today, leaving six people dead, including three students. The shooter is also reported to be dead. The incident occurred at a public high school in the city, where the shooter opened fire before being confronted by law enforcement.
Details of the shooting are still emerging, and law enforcement officials have not yet released the names of the victims or the shooter. According to law enforcement officials, the shooter, a 28-year-old female who was a former student, gained entry to the building through a side door before making her way up to the second floor and opening fire. The shooter did not appear to be wearing any body armor but was armed with two rifles and a handgun.
The school was immediately placed on lockdown, and law enforcement officers responded to the scene. While the motive behind the shooting is unknown at this time.
