UTAS is bringing to market a new 12 gauge AR style semi auto shotgun. We spoke with UTAS designer Ted Hatfield who showed us UTAS’ all new design, the XTR-12. Based on the AR platform and weighing in at just under 8 pounds with integrated rails and a 5 round magazine, this looks to be a formidable contender in the semi-auto tactical shotgun market. It also is designed to be field stripped in 30 seconds with no tools required. We’re looking to getting our hands on this soon.
