The incident unfolded around 1 a.m. when three armed suspects forcibly entered the homeowner’s residence on the 6300 block of Shirley Pond Road. According to the HCSO, the homeowner confronted the intruders, leading to an exchange of gunfire. Despite an extensive search by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, K-9, Patrol Services, Investigative Services, and UAS Team (Drone), the remaining two suspects have evaded capture. The identities of those involved have not been disclosed as the investigation continues.
This marks the second consecutive night that the homeowner’s residence was targeted, raising concerns among neighbors in what is described as a typically safe community.
