We initially covered the story in which two other women attacked a woman with a concealed carry license in a Walmart. At that time, we didn’t have any of the security footage. So we could only comment on the available news articles at that time.
Well, the security footage has been released, and as you can see, things transpired a lot faster than we originally thought. But even after looking at the footage of the attack, it is hard to draw the line where the shooting was justified and then becomes unjustified. Tell us what you think in the comments.
Personally, I think that maybe the first shot or two could be considered justified, but as soon as the attackers ran off, it crosses the line into being unjustified. And surely, you never want to go after or chase a fleeting attacker and shoot at them which is what this woman did. Doing so, she wound up hitting one of the attackers in a finger and thigh.
I would also like to note that the District Attorney has dropped the attempted murder charge and the woman that was attacked is now only charged with aggravated assault.
