Raleigh, NC – A woman is not facing any charged after shooting a man during a road rage incident that took place on Aug. 1.
Details are scarce but according to Raleigh Police, a man became aggressive toward a woman driver which started the road rage incident. He followed her into the parking lot of a Food Lion grocery store.
He then walked up to her car and attempted to open the door. That’s when the woman fired at the man in self-defense. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
The police do not plan on filing any charges at this time. A defense attorney told local media that she had the right to defend herself under North Carolina’s castle doctrine.
“Basically saying your home, your automobile, your workplace are considered to be an individual’s castle and you have a right to defend yourself inside those locations,” Turner said.
I am proud of this woman for carrying for protection. More women need to carry to protect themselves. If more carry and people get word of their defending themselves, then there would be less attacks because the assailants wouldn’t know if the victim is carrying. It will only take a few incidents like this to get the message across. I am not saying go around just shooting for no cause, I am stating a fact; that the more people that carry will stop the nonsense of bad people doing stupid things.
This is a perfect example of how stupid the Liberal assertion is that people would be safer if no one was armed. This woman would have been beaten and possibly killed by a deranged and much stronger assailant if she had not been armed. If the American people were disarmed like people in other countries, society would devolve into “might makes right” with strong thugs preying on weaker citizens.
