BRYAN, TX – A domestic dispute escalated into violence when Stephanie Arevalo allegedly shot her husband in the leg after discovering him with another woman. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, led to Arevalo’s arrest on charges of aggravated assault and family violence with a deadly weapon.
According to FOX8Live, the Bryan Police Department responded to the scene after Arevalo herself called the authorities. According to the police report, upon their arrival, Arevalo admitted to the shooting, stating that her husband “deserved it” and acknowledging her imminent arrest. The confrontation also involved threats made by Arevalo towards the woman involved with her husband, although no injuries were reported on her part.
The injured man, whose identity has not been disclosed by the police, received medical attention for his non-life-threatening injuries and was subsequently released from the hospital.
This case highlights the severe consequences of domestic altercations and the importance of seeking legal and supportive measures in marital disputes. Arevalo is currently being held as the legal proceedings continue.
