I was scrolling through Facebook this morning, and seeing these pictures caused me to instantly stop and see what happened. And after seeing what the man said, I think he completely missed the point.
So I was working over night long shift, and I had my firearm in my pocket and keys in the other some time that night I put my keys in the pocket of the gun and as I’m at the register my ears start ringing and dust is everywhere I look down and I have a hole in my pants and I see the customers running out the store “NEVER KEEP A FIREARM ON YOU AT WORK # not my brightest moment
So let me get this straight. You have a loaded gun in your pocket without a proper holster. The gun has an Apple Airtag connected to it through the trigger guard via a round carabiner. Then you put your keys into the same pocket, and at some point, the trigger is engaged, and the gun fires. And the takeaway from this is that you should never have a firearm on you while at work???
So if he wasn’t at work, this wouldn’t have happened? It most certainly could have.
The main takeaway here is that the gun needs to be in a proper holster whether you are carrying it in your pocket or on your waist. And by proper holster, I mean one that covers the trigger guard and has retention so the gun cannot slide out. I don’t pocket carry, but I wouldn’t do it unless it were in a kydex holster with retention. I would not recommend using any of the soft nylon holsters either.
This man was extremely lucky he didn’t shoot himself or anyone else. And attaching something like an Apple Airtag or anything else through the trigger guard is a big fat NO.
Why does the moron need an Apple tag on his pistol? This whole thing is just stupid!!!
I hope this post was trolling. The AirTag and lack of wound would seem to support this.
The STUPID SHALL BE PUNISHED!
It looks like one of those “locators” find my iphone tags … hahahah
You can’t legislate stupidity… Bet he’s wizend up since!
