USA Carry Forums Android App Available Now!

I’m very happy to announce that the USA Carry Forums Android App is now available on the Android Market. You get full access to the forums and the app is formated to make browsing and posting MUCH easier on your device than through the web browser.

If you have an Android device you should head over to the Android Marketing and download it today for FREE! After you download it help us out and give us a good review and rating if you like it.

Here are some screenshots of what it will look like on your Android Device.

For those of you with an iPhone or iPad, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered as well. We’re just waiting for Apple to approve everything. As soon as they do we’ll be making the announcement.

  • Is there functionality like CCW USA to alert when crossing in to a nonreciprocal state?

    • Anonymous

No, this app only runs the forums. We’re working on a version that will use the maps but isn’t available yet.

  • make sure to use Google maps..CCW USA is complete garbage by the way..so take a look at it and DONT follow in their footsteps haha

I’ve seen it. We won’t be launching ours until it works just as well as the full website version works….to put it nicely. 🙂

Please have this added into the Android Market directly! I cannot download off the web interface because I have “no Android phone associated with my account.” My droid is a tablet without a phone 🙁

It is in the Android Market.

      • Gerald

Looks cool, but I cannot find it in the market searching for USA Carry and browsing through the Social section.

What device are you using? It is showing up for me and has had almost 1000 downloads.

          • Gerald

I have a viewsonic g-tablet, wifi only.  I’ll keep looking, but it’s strange that the marketplace search has different results!

          • Diver

Search results vary based on your Android OS version. The app will only show up in market for versions its compatible with…

Just pushed out an update to the app that fixed some memory leaks.

  • Just installed the app, and it looks great! Glad to see USA Carry really making strides.

let me start by saying Great work and I look forward to still using this and see more updates and improvements as time goes on…now to help you out!

installed this and thoroughly used it to test it out and I like it so far, but here are the issues I found:
after being logged in I am taking to the main screen( HOME) which lists the most recently posted topics which is good, problems…
-No way to refresh this screen(as button option or from main menu)

-above my name saying I am logged in it says I have 1 new notification and when I select it, it takes me to new screen and says I have 1 New Likes received (no way to clear this notification and when I select/touch it, nothing happens)

-main screen shows to buttons: Newest and Forums neither appear to be working or functional
    >I select Forums and get a pop up that only allows me to select ‘Forum’ option and when I do nothing happens
    >I select Newest and I get a pop up for 3 options: Newest, Top or Subscribed. selecting any of these and nothing happens either

-only way to navigate is to use main menu and I get a lot of time outs when doing that (2 in every 5 uses)
    – no ” + ” or ” – ” option to shrink section headers (main, handguns, Long guns, Outdoors..)

I am on HTC Thunderbolt using
    OS version: 2.2.1
    Kernal 2.6.32.21-gb05544a

     The Wait is Over.

  •  Any chance this will be App2Sd enabled soon? I have an Optimus V and have to be stingy on the phones memory.

I’ll send this to the developers of the service I’m using but I have no info on that at the moment.

  • Carmen Smith

new member. proud to be a ccw’er

  • I downloaded it and it works very well, except I have 1 question.  Every time I start the application it wants me to log in.  Is there a setting to ask it to remember me?  Typing the password every time on the phone is time consuming.
