A man entered a second-story window at a residence in Vancouver, WA, on the night of December 15, 2022.
The homeowner shot the suspect after he had entered the home.
Responding police officers arrived to find the subject dead.
The incident is under investigation by the Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Unit.
We rarely ever know the true intent of someone illegally entering a home. Perhaps it is to steal items of value to sell quickly for drug money, or perhaps it is to hurt, rape, maim, or kill. Armed homeowners have taken their safety and security into their own hands (as is their right and duty) and know that when seconds count, the police are only minutes away!
