I saw this video in my YouTube feed after coming home from the range earlier this week. I’m not sure what made me watch it, as I know what spalling is already. I am a member of MCTA Range, a private range in Mississippi, and usually, I’ll bring my own steel targets to use. I always set them up correctly to stop the spalling from coming back at me.
But after watching it, I thought Iraqveteran8888 did an excellent job of explaining and showing what spalling is. And he’s right. There are many new gun owners right now, and shooting steel is fun. So make sure you set your steel targets up correctly per the manufacturer’s instructors to keep it safe on the range.
