I was hoping to wrap up another review to post today, but things happen, and I wasn’t able to finish it. But I did get a Glock 48 in today which I’m using to make a Glock 43L. So I tossed this video together to show you a quick preview of my new Glock 43L.
What’s a Glock 43L?
Before the beans were spilled about the new Glocks that were released earlier this year, I was hoping it would be a Glock 43 with a longer slide. Obviously, that’s not what they released when Glock introduced the Glock 43X and the Glock 48. I did a full review on both which you can watch here: Glock 43X and 48 Review
What I didn’t realize at the time was that you could put a Glock 48 slide on a Glock 43 frame and it should run with no problems. I’ve seen a few videos and talked with a few people who said it works and runs great.
Why a Glock 43L?
After first seeing someone else with the Glock 43L modification, I thought this would be something cool to test out but left it on the back burner. That is until they came out with the Glock 48 Black. Also, the holster I’m using for my Glock 43 is a Dark Star Gear Hitchhiker which is made for the 43, 43x and 48. I like that the holster is a bit longer to accommodate the 48, making it a little more comfortable. So I figured, why not put a Glock 48 slide on it? Longer barrel. Longer sight radius? Why not!
So that is all for now. I’m going to hit the range with it this week, so I can put some rounds through it before I start carrying it. Be on the lookout for a full review soon. If you have any questions about or something you’d like me to test out, let me know!
