At a grocery store in Oxon Hill, Maryland, a woman attempting to shoplift and a security guard killed each other in a shoot-out on November 4, 2022.
The store Security Guard confronted the woman who was attempting to shoplift from the store. The woman retrieved a handgun from her bag and shot the Security Guard, who returned fire, hitting the woman. Both the Guard and the woman succumbed to their injuries.
No other people were harmed in the shoot-out.
